Numbering what's happened in recent time...

After a little while of waiting, I finally heard today from one of the jobs I applied for! Fred Meyer called me, so I go for an interview on Monday! Crossin my fingers!

A new game we've been playing is called "Sequence." It's kept us pretty busy, and it's really fun! You'll have to check it out.
I've been helping my brother recently plan a 5k for his eagle project. It's to help raise money for our cousin Rachel's cancer treatments. Pretty soon we'll be getting a blog up and running so people can register for the race. Keep your eyes out!

My last post or two, I noted that Devin and I went for a snow machine ride out on Big Lake. Well, this time we took the truck out there, and drove around. It's really cool because people actually make the frozen lake into a road, so people that have houses on the lake can reach their house a little more quickly. Pretty crazy to think that that ice can hold the weight of cars driving on it.

This week I developed a stye in my eye. It's not a big deal, they've visited me before, it's just a little bit of an annoyance. Hopefully it leaves it's habitat of my eye fairly soon.
Tank is continuing to make me laugh everyday. Every time I lay on the couch he'll come sit by me, and rest his chin or his paw on my arm. The Styers also have a cat named Suki, and anytime you say Suki's name and Tank hears, he comes a runnin to your knee for the attention. Today though, I was amused to see Tank and Suki associating with each other and being friends. :) haha
I've been pretty impressed with Devin's brother Dillon's piano skills lately. I took piano for about...8 years, and he just started playing, but yet it sounds like he's taken piano for 20 years. He sits down at the piano, and comes up with all these melodies from no where. And not only that, they sound amazing! He tried to teach me a little bit of a song today, it just is taking me a little time to catch on.
Devin and i have been getting pretty excited because this fall we are transferring to Southern Utah University (SUU). We recently found an apartment for the fall, and needless to say we are pretty pumped to get down there!
Last week we went over to Bret and Britta's for homemade pizza! Not only that, but we found another game that is a new favorite. This one is called "Settlers of Catan." We've only played it the one time, but are really looking forward to playing it again.
After our weekend trip to Fairbanks, we came back with a box full of grapefruit and oranges that Devin's grandma Styers sent up from Arizona. Since we've had such a plentiful of fruit, I've been consuming quite a lot of the grapefruit. It's one of my favorites.
Our nightly activity lately is some good movie watching. One of our latest was the movie "Breach" about a man in the FBI that was spying for the Russians. True Story. Great watch. Another entertaining one is "Whip It" about the women's roller derby.
The last little update is that more hockey has been going on here. The other night we had a little "night-time" backyard hockey. This time I got out there-it was a little scary. By scary I do not mean I was scared, I mean I was not nearly as good as those others skaters on the ice with me. I have a lot of practicing to do, but it was a pretty fun time.
Devin and Lane also had a little competition to see who could jump the farthest off the ice into the snow.
