As of Lately

Well, I am not very good at blogging anymore. To sum up the last month I will show you some pictures.

Devin and I took his sister Rhea to Kenai for her hockey tournament. We had a fun and relaxing getaway weekend!
Our drive there...

Look at all the cool lights on the mountain- it's a ski resort
Isn't it beautiful? Everything is all white!

 Pretty freezing huh?
Devin and Rhea passed out after a long day of hockey

 Mount Redoubt Volcano
Just outside of McDonalds. Cool huh? They have all these ice sculptures all over!
 Drive home!

We had such a fun time! As for what else has been going on... We have been enjoying LOTS of snow and fun times hanging out. We are glad that it has finally warmed up to 20 degrees.

 our property
 Anchorage Temple
The score of mine and Devin's basketball game. I was 99
 Devin and our nephew Brecken

We have had SO much snow this winter. This is looking out the window to the snow piled up on the roof.
 Devin out snow blowing
This is out at our property. The snow is up to Devin's waist

The Christmas lights got frozen in icicles
There was so much snow on the roof that Devin and his dad had to go out an shovel it all off

if you look closely at this picture (below) you can see how deep the snow really is. The mound in front is a picnic table (completely covered) and way in the back there is a baby swing... the snow goes all the way up to the bottom of it.
As for everything else, this is my newest recipe (below)

And here is a little comic for those non-Alaskans :) It's funny how many people really have a problem with this... haha

Happy winter... We still got a long way to go til all this snow melts.

I love all your pics! I'm especially partial to the ones of those cute little boys haha! Those cookies look delish! And I had a friend (a very good friend) who thought Alaska was an Island, for real?! haha!

Thanks Britta! Haha I love how people think it's an island...little do they know it is an island bigger than Texas!
